If you haven’t tried Concannon’s Bakery, you are missing out! Concannon’s has been serving sweet delicacies to Muncie residents since 1959. The bakery now has 2 locations and has expanded to include a cafe serving soups, sandwiches, and wraps to hungry patrons.

The bakery is conveniently located down the road from my apartment and offers the perfect study break for a sweet treat or gourmet latte.

Customers are greeted at the door with a sweet aroma guiding growling stomachs to the never-ending display counter featuring Bavarian cream donuts, cream cheese Danishes, bear claws, long Johns, and much more. The cafe offers a wide selection of coffee drinks to compliment any pastry and satisfy your caffeine cravings.

Yes, I’m 27 years old and cream filled sprinkled donuts are still my favorite. There’s something about a brightly colored, sprinkled donut that always gets me excited. Maybe it’s the nostalgia of my dad bringing home an assortment of donuts after his night shift. He always remembered sprinkled donuts were my favorite. Or maybe I simply enjoy acting
like a carefree kid again, even if it’s just for few minutes. Either way, sprinkled donuts are hard to beat and Concannon’s makes some of the best with a generous portion of icing and sprinkles.
