As you know, supporting locally sourced ingredients is a passion of mine. I enjoy visiting the Minnetrista Farmers Market each week and selecting from the area’s best produce, cheeses, wines and meats. Not only are the food items superior to what you find at the grocery store, but your funds directly support the local economy…Something I strive to promote whenever possible.

Some individuals that have known me for many years tell me I’ve turned into a animal-loving, urban hippie. I think that may be a stretch, but I am definitely more conscious about the environment, what I consume and where it comes from. I am a food blogger after all!
Minnetrista Farmers Market provides the Muncie community with an impressive array of food items from free-range eggs and kale to summer sausage and tomato plants. Items for sale are reasonably priced and of high quality. Each week, I look forward to purchasing locally made cheeses and a bottle or two of the Traminette wine from Tonne Winery. The market occurs every Wednesday 3:00-6:00 pm and Saturdays 8:00 am-noon May to October.
Cheers!
