When brunching in Indianapolis, Cafe Patachou is always the first place that comes to mind. Located in the Meridian-Kessler neighborhood, Cafe Patachou is part of a distinguished restaurant group in Indy providing food connoisseurs and novices alike fresh, farm-to-table ingredients at numerous locations.

One might suggest Cafe Patachou commenced the food revolution that has placed Indianapolis on the list of foodie cities in the United States. Conde Nast Traveler even went so far as to list Indianapolis as the ‘most underrated food city in the U.S.’ The neighborhood cafe has won numerous awards and was even featured in Bon Appetite Magazine as “Our Ten Favorite Places for Breakfast in the Nation.”
While dining with my sister at Cafe Patachou, I order the bacon broken yolk with avocado and am extremely pleased with my selection. The sourdough bread absorbs the yolk and creates a tasty combination. The avocado provides a creamy, fresh bite against the saltiness of the crisped-to-perfection bacon. I also indulge in an Italian cream soda given their sister restaurant, Napolese, makes the absolute best!
If you haven’t dined at Cafe Patachou, you are truly missing out on one of Indy’s great

eats.
Cheers!
